In the Book of Genesis, God creates us in God's image and then give us "dominion" over creation. Dominion here is a translation of the Hebrew word for "care". Created in God's likeness we are to lovingly care for creation. God entrusts us to care for the world, the animals and each other. What a holy task we have!
